1. Read in sequence - Start at the beginning of a book in the Bible and read through the entire book.

2. Take your time - Read only a few verses a day.

3. Journal - Use a journal to build your own personal commentary of revelations.

4. What pops out at you - Highlight in your journal what words or phrases that stand out to me.

5. Questions / Insights - Write down any questions or insights you have about the passage.

6. Context -What happened before this passage and then what happens next?

7. Summarize - Write your own summary of the passage. What was the main point of the passage? What did it means to the audience of that time and what does it mean to me today?

8. Do - Now that you understand this truth about life how can you apply it?

9. Share - Now that you have gained an insight or revelation about the passage, who can You share this truth with?
